Architectural Photography Rates

At Photography909, we know every architectural project is unique. Pricing depends on factors such as the number of final images, location, time on site, and the level of post-processing required.

Our standard rates are:

  • Half-day (up to 4 hours): £600

  • Full day (up to 8 hours): £950

These rates cover the shoot itself, with additional services — such as extended travel, additional dawn or dusk images, complex retouching, or bespoke licensing — quoted individually.

We also provide the option for third parties (such as developers, contractors, or product manufacturers) to license images. These licenses are costed on a case-by-case basis, depending on usage and distribution requirements.

While architectural photography in the UK often ranges between £700 and £2,200, our aim is to deliver exceptional imagery and service at competitive rates.

What to Expect: Number of Final Images

Every project is unique, and the number of final photographs produced depends on factors such as the size of the building, time on site, weather conditions, staging requirements, and the level of post-processing involved.

That said, here’s a typical guide for what clients can expect:

  • Half-Day Shoot (up to 4 hours)

    • Usually results in 10–15 fully edited photographs

    • Ideal for smaller projects, single properties, or capturing a focused set of spaces or exteriors.

  • Full-Day Shoot (up to 8 hours)

    • Typically produces 15–30 fully edited photographs

    • Suited for larger buildings, projects requiring both interior and exterior coverage, or shoots where light conditions need to be carefully timed throughout the day.

Why the Range?

Each architectural image is carefully crafted. A single photograph may require:

  • Multiple exposures to balance natural and artificial light

  • Time to stage and style the space

  • Waiting for optimal natural light conditions

  • Detailed post-processing to achieve a polished, professional result

This means a shoot isn’t about “firing off” hundreds of frames, but about producing a carefully curated set of images that truly showcase the architecture at its best.
